FAQs – Private Multi-Day Tours

How many people are on the trip?

Our trips are small. Depending on the tour, a minimum of 2 guests and a maximum of 10 guests.

If you have a larger group, please inquire.

Is this tour escorted by a group leader or host?

Yes, this tour is escorted by a friendly and knowledgeable Grape Adventures host who will take care of all of the details before and throughout your tour.

Are hotel, food, and wine costs not included?

No. We do not require you to prepay for your accommodations, food or wine or require you to accept our choices.

Relax and enjoy every trip detail taken care of for you, while still enjoying the freedom and flexibility to make choices important to you.

Based on a combination of your wishes and budget – and our expertise and personal experience – we will assist you in selecting your ideal accommodations, dining experiences, and optional activities.

Individuals may even reduce costs by using hotel or credit card points to pay for hotel rooms!

Grape Adventures is a Virtuoso Travel Advisor Company and may be able to obtain special perks for luxury hotel bookings.

Are airfares included in the prices?

Airfare is not included in the tour price.  It is each guest’s responsibility to make arrangements and pay for their flights. 

If I book, is my trip guaranteed?

While not common, there are situations when Grape Adventures cannot operate a tour, such as an insufficient number of travelers, or unforeseen events. If Grape Adventures has to reschedule or cancel a trip, we will offer you the option of a) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or b) receiving a full refund.

Do not book any airfare or travel before your trip is confirmed.

How much is due at booking?

All trips require a $250 Non-Refundable deposit at the time of booking. The final balance is due 60 days before departure.

When is final payment due?

The final balance is due 60 days before departure. Failure to pay balance in full by balance due date will result in automatic removal from trip in accordance with our payment policy.

If you book within 60 days of the departure date, full payment is required at booking.

When will my trip be confirmed?

In general, trips are confirmed via email as soon as the minimum required number of guests is met. The minimum number of guests is typically 2.

Should I protect my trip with travel insurance?

This is a personal decision, however we recommend buying travel insurance. It’s more than lost luggage or flight delays, but it’s also protection in case you have to cancel your trip before departure due to an emergency. Always read your policy wording to review your specific coverage and to make sure that the policy is right for you.

What type of vehicles do you use?
Our primary vehicle is newer model Mercedes Sprinter with leather seats, high ceilings, and large picture windows. For larger groups we use various makes and sizes of luxury buses.

Are there any additional fees?
There is an online booking fee. Please To avoid this fee, you may fill out a credit card authorization form. Taxes and fuel surcharges are included. Gratuity for the host and driver is at your discretion.

 Are gratuities included?
No. Customers may provide gratuity at their discretion to their host and driver at the end of their tour as a personal “thank you” for a job well done.
