About
Bodegas Paso Robles makes wine using grapes native to Spain and Portugal and grapes that have been used for centuries in Iberian winemaking. All our wines are hand-crafted and aged in premium French and American barrels.
One of the first questions we’re usually asked by a new customer in the Tasting Room is “Why Spanish grapes?”
Dorothy Schuler, our winemaker and owner, has a simple response. “Because no one else in Paso Robles was making wine with these grapes.”
A few wineries were making a Tempranillo or an Albariño, but no one was concentrating on grapes from the Iberian peninsula (that part of Europe comprised of Spain and Portugal).
