Our journey began with the origin of our name- CHEVAL, which translates to “horse” in French. The owners, Donna and Dr. Randy Kaufman, were originally looking for a property for their champion show horses and stumbled upon this breath-taking location. They fell in love with the estate that just happened to come with a winery!

With a name like Cheval, having horses on site are a must! Come see our champion show horses at The Stompin’ Grounds on site at Cheval Winery. Most of our are wines named after these beautiful horses.
