    FAQs

What is a women only join-in tour?

The opposite of a private tour, a shared female only tour is great for solo women travelers, female friends, female  partners, and multi-generational female family members.

Women-only tours provide a safe, fun, and enriching way to travel. Make new friends as you experience new places together.

How many people are on the trip?

Our trips are small and comfortable. Depending on the tour, a minimum of 4 guests and a maximum of 10 guests.

If you have a smaller or larger group, please inquire.

Do travelers come solo or bring friends/family?

Is this tour escorted by a host?

Yes, this tour is escorted by a female Grape Adventures host.

Can I share a Hotel Room?

If you are interested in reducing the trip cost by sharing a room please inquire. We will do our best to accommodate you. Some locations have limited double occupancy rooms available.

Do you offer both single or double hotel room occupancy?

All our trips are organized and priced based on both single or double hotel room occupancy. If you are traveling solo and wish to share a room we will do our best (not guaranteed) to accommodate you if another solo traveler is available to share a room.

Are airfares included in the prices?

Airfare is not included in the tour price.  It is each guest's responsibility to make arrangements and pay for their flights.

If I book, is my trip guaranteed?

While not common, there are situations when Grape Adventures cannot operate a tour, such as insufficient number of travelers, or unforseen events. If Grape Adventures has to reschedule or cancel a trip, we will offer you the option of a) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or b) receiving a full refund.

Do not book any airfare or travel before your trip is confirmed.

How much is due at booking?

All trips require a $250 Non-Refundable deposit at the time of booking. The final balance is due 60 days before departure.

The final balance is due 60 days before departure. Failure to pay balance in full by balance due date will result in automatic removal from trip in accordance with our payment policy.

If you book within 60 days of the departure date, full payment is required at booking.

When will my trip be confirmed?

In general, trips are confirmed via email as soon as the minimum required number of guests is met. The minimum number of guests is typically 4.

Should I protect my trip with travel insurance?

This is a personal decision, however we recommend buying travel insurance. It’s more than lost luggage or flight delays, but it’s also protection in case you have to cancel your trip before departure due to an emergency. Always read your policy wording to review your specific coverage and to make sure that the policy is right for you.

    Luggage

Our luggage policy is based on physical space limitations of the vehicles we use and the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance.

It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much. You may bring one suitcase plus a small shoulder bag/day pack/purse. Maximum suitcase size: 24 inches in height as measured from the FLOOR to the top of the retracted handle. This is the size of a bag that fits into the overhead bins of aircraft. Suitcases larger than this will not fit in the Mercedes Sprinter; please don’t bring them.

The weight of your bag should not exceed 30 pounds. Each guest is responsible for managing their luggage and will take their belongings from the van to the Hotel room and then bring it back to the van for loading.

What if I arrive late and miss a part of the trip?

We regret that no refunds can be made for absences from a trip, including experiences such as missed meals or sightseeing.

Can I book extra nights of hotel accommodation before or after my tour?

Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels. Please contact us with your request.

    YOUR HOST

    Hi! I’m Julie…

founder, travel advisor, trip designer, and your host at Grape Adventures Travel and Tours.

Originally from the Southeastern United States, I have resided in California (in both Los Angeles and San Francisco) for more than 15 years.

Formerly a school teacher, with previous experience in the hospitality industry, I take “lessons learned” from each of these fields to create memorable travel and tour experiences that entertain and educate (without being boring!)… and create cherished memories and connections for my guests.

Our women only multi-day tours provide the opportunity to join-in a tour with other women to enjoy new experiences together and make new friendships and nurture existing ones.

I look forward to sharing a Grape Adventure with you!
